Midterm challenge instructions

- your midterm grades will be posted on Canvas by the end of week08
  (note: we will not return your answer sheets to you)
- if you think we made mistakes to your midterm, you can start a challenge.
- there are two types of challenges (see below). You can only challenge us *once*.
- "challenge period" will end at midnight, 03/21.
- your midterm grade will freeze after 03/21.


- Option 1: private challenge
  -- name *at most* three questions you want to challenge
  -- email the staff mailing list with your name, NUID, and the question numbers
  -- during the office hour on 3/21 (Monday), instructor and the student will together
     re-evaluate the challenged questions.
  -- scores may go either up or down.
  -- instructor will make the final decision.

- Option 2: public challenge
  -- submit a public challenge post on piazza (also send an email to the staff mailing list)
  -- instructor will publish the student's exam on piazza.
  -- This will trigger a full re-evaluation to all answers.
  -- for disagreements,
    -- there will be an open debate on piazza,
    -- and one majority vote for each disagreement.
    -- students, instructor, and TAs have one vote for each disagreement.
