About

I’m Cheng Tan, an assistant professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, Northeastern University, in the Systems Research Group.

I build systems that let us verify what untrusted machines actually did—outsourced computation, concurrent systems, ML, and, lately, faithful LLM systems. Ph.D. from NYU’s Courant Institute.

This is where I keep the rougher cut: notes, arguments with myself, and ideas that aren’t papers yet.
